Is this kit compatible with my OEM Glock® pistol?
No. This Backstrap Kit is specifically engineered for the Polymer80 PF940V2 compact frame, which has a different rear cavity design than a factory Glock® frame. It is not interchangeable with OEM Glock® backstraps. Always verify compatibility with your specific frame model before purchase.
How do I install the backstrap?
Installation is straightforward and requires no gunsmithing. Simply align your chosen backstrap insert with the slot at the rear of your PF940V2 frame. Insert the included retention pin through the aligned holes. A firm press should seat the pin flush, securing the backstrap firmly with no play. Removal is just as easy by pushing the pin out from the opposite side.
Which size backstrap should I choose?
We recommend starting with the Medium insert, which provides a neutral profile similar to the frame’s default state. If you have smaller hands or prioritize deep concealment, try the Small. For larger hands or if you desire maximum control surface to fill your palm, the Large insert is ideal. The best practice is to test each size during dry-fire practice to assess pointability and comfort.
Does this affect holster compatibility?
In most cases, adding a backstrap will not affect compatibility with holsters designed for the PF940V2/Glock® 19 platform, as the holster’s retention is typically based on the trigger guard and slide.
