This is a true drop-in assembly designed for straightforward installation on a compatible Gen 3 Glock 17 frame. No permanent modification or specialized gunsmithing is required. Simply field strip your frame, remove its original slide, and install this complete kit. As with any aftermarket part, we recommend function testing with your chosen ammunition before live fire.
What are the main benefits of the G34’s longer slide?
The extended 5.31″ barrel provides increased muzzle velocity for improved terminal ballistics and flatter trajectory. More importantly, the longer 7.95″ slide creates a significantly longer sight radius—the distance between your front and rear sights. This dramatically enhances sight picture precision, allowing for more accurate shot placement, which is critical in USPSA, IDPA, and other action shooting sports.
Will this kit work with my Generation 4 or Generation 5 Glock?
This specific kit is engineered for Generation 3 Glock 17 frames. While it may physically fit some later-generation frames, reliable function is not guaranteed due to changes in recoil spring assembly design and frame geometry. Are sights included with the kit?
This Complete G34 Long Slide Kit includes the slide with standard Glock dovetail cuts, but it does not include installed iron sights. This allows you to select and install your preferred competition or defensive sights—whether fiber optic, tritium night sights, or a red dot optic (with a separate mounting plate). All necessary internal slide parts and the recoil spring assembly are included.
